U.S. Topical Reporters

Topical reporters are also known as looseleaf services, so called because, in their print form, they are comprised of pages or pamphlets filed in looseleaf binders. Looseleaf reporters are secondary sources which, in general, discuss, explain, analyze or critique the law but are not the law itself. They conveniently provide in one place primary sources, other secondary sources, statutes, regulations, and administrative and judicial decisions on a legal topic or practice area.

This research guide focuses on the looseleaf services and topical reporters listed under Section T15 in The Bluebook, providing access points to online services available to Georgetown Law members. For other types of secondary sources, start with the Secondary Sources Research Guide. The Law Library's Treatise Finders and topical and state Research Guides will lead you to legal encyclopedias, treatises, restatements, law journals, study aids or supplements specific for a legal topic.
