Public health concerns are no longer confined by geographic areas as international travel and trade easily transcend national borders. For example, Ebola, Zika, tobacco use, access to care, and non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes, obesity, asthma), present major challenges to our world population. Global health is highly interdisciplinary in nature with legal, medical, economic, and social aspects with an evolving role for international law.
