Convention on the Protection of the European Communities’ Financial Interests (PFI Convention)
This overview provides information on subsequent legislation and related acts. The convention has two principal protocols: the first entered into force alongside the convention in 2002 and the second in 2009. An additional protocol on the convention’s interpretation by the European Court of Justice also entered into force alongside the convention in 2002. The convention was replaced by the Directive on the Fight Against Fraud to the Union’s Financial Interests by Means of Criminal Law (PFI Directive; see below).
