European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control (HEUNI)
Affiliated with the U.N., this organization promotes the international exchange of information on crime prevention and control among European countries. Its website includes publications that address corruption and a small number of research projects on corruption.
Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC)
This is an international network of parliamentarians from more than 70 countries “dedicated to fighting corruption and improving good governance” around the world. Its website includes links to regional chapters , publications , news , and newsletters .
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)
The ICC’s Commission on Corporate Responsibility and Anti-corruption produces the ICC Rules on Combating Corruption and the ICC Anti-corruption Clause and makes recommendations on how to combat extortion and bribery. It also monitors developments in the implementation of the U.N. and OECD conventions against corruption.
International Monetary Fund (IMF)
The IMF and Good Governance page addresses corruption, with links to materials for promoting good governance and transparency for both the IMF and governments. The IMF's Approach to Promoting Good Governance and Combating Corruption details how the IMF combats corruption through technical assistance and policy actions. See also the IMF’s Code of Good Practices on Transparency in Monetary and Financial Policies: Declaration of Principles (1999) and Code of Good Practices on Fiscal Transparency (2007).
OECD Anti-Corruption & Integrity Hub
Section of the OECD website which gathers its materials related to corruption. Includes a page with links to the OECD’s key anti-corruption documents . Also see the OECD iLibrary OECD iLibrary (Georgetown Law only) for OECD publications.
U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre
Created by the ministers of international development in the Netherlands, Germany, Norway and the U.K. to formalize their cooperative efforts to combat corruption. Includes information on its projects and initiatives as well as answers to questions posed by development agencies from around the world.
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
The UNDP’s Anti-Corruption gathers news, reports, training documents and other resources related to its anti-corruption activities.
U.N. Global Compact
Includes an Anti-Corruption topic page with guidance materials covering on how to implement best practices and reports on how various nations and industries are such practices to combat corruption.
Transparency International
According to its website, Transparency International “mission is to stop corruption and promote transparency, accountability and integrity at all levels and across all sectors of society.” Its projects include the Corruption Perceptions Index and the Global Corruption Barometer . Also allows browsing by country for all related materials. TI’s Anti-Corruption Plain Language Guide defines major terms and includes “examples in practice”—real instances of these definitions from throughout the world.
