Official Gazette

The Diario Oficial de la Federación is the official gazette of Mexico and publishes all new federal legislation. It also contains important announcements, notices, decrees, resolutions, tenders, proposed rules and regulations, and draft and final standards issued by the Mexican government and its agencies. Its website includes the text of the Diario since 1917 (with PDF facsimiles of the print edition available from 1920–present) as well as a history of the Diario.

Codes

As a civil law system, Mexican statutes are organized into codes. Electronic versions of the Spanish-language originals are available from the sources below; selected annotated Spanish originals and English translations are available in print in the Georgetown Law Library.

• Cámara de Diputados: Leyes Federales Vigentes
  The website of the Chamber of Deputies includes this page offering more than 300 federal codes and laws currently in force in PDF and Word format (Spanish only). A separate page includes links to state laws and gazettes.
• Georgetown CLAS: States and Institutions of Governance in Latin America (SIGLA)
  A project of the Georgetown School of Foreign Service’s Center for Latin American Studies, SIGLA is an “an online multilingual database that freely provides information on legal and political institutions in Latin America.” Includes information about and links to the official texts of the federal Mexican codes.
