Help with the Bluebook

Need help making sense of the Bluebook?

Our Guide to the Bluebook explains the purpose and structure of the Bluebook, and has tips on citing commonly-used sources.  We also have video tutorials available that explain the basics of Bluebooking.

Westlaw, Lexis, & Bloomberg Law

Passwords: Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg Law registration codes were emailed to new students' Georgetown email addresses prior to orientation. Contact us by chat or email if you need your codes re-sent.  All Georgetown Law students may also register for a Bloomberg Law account (activation code is optional as long as you use your Georgetown email address).

Tutorials: Lexis, Westlaw & Bloomberg Law each offer a number of online tutorials to guide users on everything from basic search strategies to subject searching to updating the law.

Printing: Lexis printing is located on the 4th floor of Williams in Room 435A-B. You may print to these printers from the Lexis Advance database for free.
